Either you’re looking for an easy way to access a trainer or you are a trainer looking for alternative means to reach clients; an online personal trainer can be a viable option for both and has grown more popular.
Being an online personal trainer
There is still a certain degree of discomfort some people harbor when it comes to the online world. Maxims along the lines of, “If you’re not online you might as well not exist,” could be considered pretty annoying things to say to the rare luddite out there, but to the rest of us, these types of statements are an honest reflection of the world we live in.
Now, some might say that nothing beats an in the flesh one-on-one training session with a personal trainer. But the truth is, not everyone has access to fitness facilities or reliable trainers. This, however, does not have to be a hindrance to your workout regime.
TRAIN ANYWHERE, ANYTIME
The obvious number one advantage of training online is that you can do it absolutely anywhere. You no longer have to worry about gyms being overcrowded or frustrating gym rules like the “1-hour session protocol”. As long as you have a smartphone and an internet connection you can be in communication with your trainer around the clock. The same applies to when you want to train. Again, because of the flexibility of the online option, you can co-ordinate your training hours to meet your particular requirements. This also means you have the option of getting really specific with your goals.
Imagine this: You’ve booked a holiday to Athens, Greece. But you don’t want to just lie around and put on weight, you’d like to continue you’re training. So you inform your trainer and he or she comes up with a plan to combine a cardio workout with a sight seeing trip. A 10km run from your hotel room through the streets of this beautiful city. Perhaps the speed at which you make certain sites become personal goals over the course of your holiday. You run the same route 3 times during the course of your trip, each time attempting to do it a little faster. Why not? Depending on how important your training is, perhaps you are training for a marathon, you could even have your trainer with you, following your progress through an App, motivating you along the way to push harder than the day before.
You’re into Yoga? Why not take your yoga routine to the beach? You could have your trainer send you an hour long workout in the morning, or again, have them right there with you guiding you through your session. Imagine finishing your Savasana to the sound of the Aegean Sea.
There are countless ways you and your trainer could work together to create solid workouts no matter where you are.
